PP 2000 Unable To Open PP 2002

I received a read only PP 2002 presentation but my company issued laptop is
on PP 2000. It won't let me open the presentation. Any workarounds you could
suggest short of updating to PP2002? Thanks.

Sounds like the 2002 presentation has a "modify password"

Powerpoint 2000 will not open these at all. You will need to ask the author
to remove the password or download the free 2003 viewer which will let you
view the presentation (but not alter it)
