Powerpoint viewer printing

I downloaded powerpoint viewer, but when I go to print the slides I do not get the option to print in handout format. My printer is new and the software is up to date, might there be something inherent in the viewer that will not allow handout printing?

The viewer only allows basic printing functions (e.g. Just Print the slides)

You will need a full version of powerpoint to print the handouts. Or a free office compatible applications, such as
OpenOffice
