PowerPoint Viewer 97

I am trying to put a powerpoint show on CD, with music,
using PowerPoint Viewer 97, Version 8.0, as the common
viewer. The show was originally composed using PowerPoint
2002. The show, which is some 215 slides long, worked
great when using PPT 2000. PPT Vr 97, however, does not
seem to be acknowledging all the picture fade schemes, or
some of the slide transitions, with the result being a
slide show that no longer matches the music segment.

Has anyone run into this before, and do you have any
ideas? Do I need to use a different PowerPoint Viewer
version/product, or would I do better to use a different
program/vendor all together? I'm open to ideas.

PowerPoint 2000 and the PowerPoint Viewer do not support the features that
are new in PowerPoint 2002, including the new transitions and animations.
There is only one Viewer, but a new one will be released later this year
when Office 2003 is released. In PowerPoint 2002, if you plan to distribute
your presentation, you can go to Tools > Options > Edit and disable the new
features, but this should be done before you create your presentation.
