Powerpoint to DVD

Does anyone know a way to put a powerpoint slide to DVD
for playback on a home DVD player? I tried DVD X Point by
321 Studios but it was buggy and doesn't have the
capability to automatically go from slide to slide and
loop back tot he beginning when it reaches the end. I
have also tried saving the slides as jpegs and putting
them to video using Pinnacle Studio version 8, I can make
it automatically go from slide to slide but it won't loop
at the end either. Any thoughts? It has to loop at the
end though, continuously.

I have researched this over and over.. so far..it seems the only GOOD way is
to buy a DVD recorder...from my research..I think Pioneer 510HS seems to be
best.. now..my next experiment...is to try a video OUT (I have an ATI Radeon
video card) with a tv IN (aver DVD EZmaker) and see if that works..it should
be here at the end of this week..I'll let ya know!

Michele,

Are you going to use the video out and tv in ports of the very same
computer, simultaneously? If so, you'll be running PowerPoint and your DVD
EZmaker software at the same time. Even if it can be done in theory, I'm
wondering how powerful a computer it would take to do it, successfully, in
fact. What kind of computer are you using? Please do post the results of
your research!

PowerPoint does not have the built-in ability to save presentations as
video files or other video formats such as DVD-Video and, even if it did,
there would be significant loss of interactivity (because DVD-Video and
PowerPoint slide show have very different capabilities in this area) and
loss of visual fidelity (DVD-Video resolution is less than typical computer
display resolution and most television will not render colors the same way
that a computer display will).

If it is important to you (or to anyone else reading this message) that
PowerPoint have the ability save presentations directly to DVD-Video (even
with unavoidable loss of some interactivity capabilities), or if there are
specific features of PowerPoint slide show distribution that you would like
to see (which might eliminate the need to save presentations as DVD-Video),
don't forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft.

* Is there some problem with PowerPoint's current output options for which
you believe DVD-Video output is the solution/workaround?
* You want to distribute/show your presentation on DVD-Players (even though
there will be loss of functionality) because....<why>?
* Other reasons?

It's VERY important that, for EACH wish, you describe in detail, WHY it is
important TO YOU that your product suggestion be implemented. A good wish
submssion includes WHAT scenario, work-flow, or end-result is blocked by
not having a specific feature, HOW MUCH time and effort ($$$) is spent
working around a specific limitation of the current product, etc. Remember

a great yet easy to use tool to burn your PowerPoint presentation on
DVD so that you can view it on your DVD player.
