Powerpoint Slide Refreshes in an infinte loop

When I am making a powerpoint presentation, then often on 1 or 2 slides I
face this problem. When I click or go to a particular slide, then the
contents of the slide keep on refreshing themselves in a virtually infinte
loop. After couple of seconds / minutes, the loop is over and then I can work
on the slide.

There is no problem during the slide show, when it works as planned. But
during the design phase this problem is getting severe and irritating.

Please if any of you have encountered this problem and found a solution too,
then let me know.

Best wishes from Aachen,
Amit

This is a refresh problem with some graphics cards. I am guessing you have
several .png images with transparency or several autoshapes set with
semi-transparency. If you are running other applications, try quitting out
of those as your computer resources are being max'd out.

Amit,

I've seent this problem. Updating the "graphics card" drivers for your
version of windows fixed it for me

Well thanks for the comments. I found the solution in another post here -
where they asked me to cross check the graphics acceleration. Changing it
from full to 1 level below solved the problem. I dont have this flashing
anymore and i can now work in a very productive manner.

Thanks for your comments,
Best regards,
Amit

Amit,

How and where did you change the graphics acceleration from "full to 1 level
below"?
