PowerPoint Printing only Grey Scale Ricoh Color Printer

P

Pete

I have a Ricoh Color 2232c Color Printer with PCL5
driver. When I try to print a slide that has color text
on it it prints out in grey scale. I have checked the
Tools\options\Print and it is checked for Color. I have
even tried to Use the most recent print settings. I've
also made sure that the setting on the print optionjs are
set to print in color. It still only prints in Grey Scale.
I have tried to print to a different color printer in a
different part of the company and the slide prints fine i
color. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should
look for next. I need to have all color printers print
PowerPoint in color.

Thanks in Advance
Pete

Do you have a color printer installed as the default local printer? This
seems to be important to PowerPoint. You do not have to leave the physical
printer attached to the computer once it is installed, but it does require
the drivers to print correctly.

And if Bill's suggestions don't work, Pete, I'd probably try updating the drivers on the Ricoh. You might also want to see if they have user forums or any support articles on their site -- or even maybe call them.

I know that sounds like a copout, but since the file prints to other color printers, it seems there must be something going on with the Ricoh or its drivers.
