PowerPoint presentations

PowerPoint presentation using two screens. I want to use my notebook computer
with a view showing notes and an LCD projector showing the slide show view.
When I set this up using power point 97 I can only get one view to show.
How do I set up the two different views?
Do I need to upgrade powerpoint in order to have the two different views?

Pretty sure you need ppt xp or above (+ a laptop that supports multiple
monitors)

Thanks for the speedy reply. When you indicate PPoint Xp or above, are you
referring to office 2000, 2002, 2003. If I have to upgrade, I would try to
find a powerpoint only upgrade. Any comments?

XP is the same as 2002. So either PPT 2002, Office XP, PPT 2003, or Office
2003 would work.

However, you might want to read the multiple monitor stuff at the PPT FAQ
first.

Thanks for the help. I know that my notebook computer supports dual
monitors as I have successfully accomplished this. BTW this appears
to be built into a Dell Inspiron 9300 notebook computer running windows
XP home edition. I have not added any additional software.
With your suggestions, it appears as if I must upgrade from my trusty old
windows 97 office to 2000 or newer power point.

2002 or newer actually ... 2000 doesn't have Presenter view, which is what
you're after.

Given a choice, go for 2003. I doubt 2002's available other than eBay and the
like, though.
