I am giving some talks in Viet Nam and want to have my slides translated into
Vietnamese. How do I configure PP to show the Vietnamese language. Also can
I still put English text in Presenters Notes section and use Presenters View
to give my presentation?

A lot may depend on your version of Office. I'm guessing that enabling
Vietnamese will be, if anything, a bit simpler than Japanese.

As I recall, to enable Japanese in Office 2003, I had to install it in Windows.
In my case, Win2k: Start, Settings, Control Panel, Regional Options.
In the general tab, put a check next to Japanese (Vietnamese is one of the
options too)

Having done that, switch to the Input Locales tab, click Change and select
Vietnamese in the box at top, then choose whatever options are appropriate for
text input methods. I've no clue what you'd choose for Vietnamese, but your
interpreter should know something about this.

Now you should be able to switch back and forth between Vietnamese and English
using the system tray item that appears. That should let you display/enter
whichever language you like in PPT.

In order to display the presentation on other computers, you'd have to be able
to (at the very least) embed a Vietnamese font in the presentation. I don't
know whether that's possible.

Unless you can assume that the audience will all have Vietnamese installed on
their PCs as well ... not unreasonable, else why would you be doing
presentations IN Vietnamese to start with? ;-)
