PowerPoint Pie of Pie chart

i would like to create a pie of pie chart. BUT, i want the 2nd pie chart to
display as wedges with 2 different breakdowns of what they mean. i've seen
examples in either time magazine or usa today, but i can't figure out how
they did it. HELP!

those examples are both kinda what i want to do, but what my boss wants is
the 2nd pie to not be a pie but a wedge (don't know how that's going to
happen) showing 2 different breakdowns of say cause and effect (but they both
equal the same percentage); with cause showing 3 different causes and effect
showing the reasons for the causes.
cause - 1, 2, 3
i.e., 11% <
reasons - 3, 5, 7
