Negative dollar amounts in pie chart OR how to not display a pie s

Hi. I have been asked to make a pie chart that includes a negative dollar
amount. When I put it in as a negative number, it still shows up as a
positive percentage of the pie chart. Is there a way I should be keeping it
from showing up in the pie? Or is there a way to tell it to not display that
slice, but still count it in calculating the percentages? Thanks in advance.

Hi

Is a pie chart the best way to represent the data? Perhaps you could explain
the nature of the data and the point that the slide is supposed to
illustrate and I'm sure we can come up with something :) Oh, and don't
forget to tell us your version.

A pie chart is a visual representation of the proportions making up a whole.
The idea of a negative value being a 'proportion' of a positive total is
illogical - it simply can't be done meaningfully. A stcked bar chart can
show negative and positive numbers and might be the best way forward.
