FYI, I'm a new Outlook user and also not a computer guru, so please bear with
me.

When I receive an e-mail that has pictures attached and I double click on
the attachment, Outlook appears to use Powerpoint to open the picture. I
then receive a window that says: Powerpoint can't open the type of file
represented by c\documents and settings\bill\local settings\temporary
internet files\OLK8D\funny_shirts_47(2).jpg -- and an OK button to click.

I then reply OK and don't get to see the pictures unless I forward the
document to my AOL account and view them there.

Thanx for your help

What happens when you save the JPG to your hard drive and try to open it
from there? Does PowerPoint still try to open it?

This isnt an outlook problem. Go to Start->Control Panel->Folder
Options->File Types (tab).

Look through the list for what program is assigned to the ".jpg"
extension. Change it to Windows Image/Fax Viewer or another imaging
program.

Many thanx for your response. Went in and followed your instructions (which
were perfect) and I could now click on those images in the Outlook e-mail and
view every one
Super Help!!
Thanx again.
