Problems with Attached Pictures

Hello,

I have a client that uses both macs and pcs. The picture problem comes from
one of the users who is using MacMail. When he sends pictures as an
attachment the pc users get them as embedded html and the pictures are not
there. They have a box with a red X. Another mac user has Entourage and
when he attaches pictures they come through fine. One other odd thing. If
the MacMail user sends pictures to the Entourage user who then forwards them
to the Outlook users they again embedd and are not viewable.

According to the MacMail user he sends pics to friends outside the office
with MacMail and they get them fine on their PCs, but he is not sure what
mail client they are using.

I am hoping that someone out there has seen this and knows what to do with
it. They have checked all the settings and nothing looks out of place. I
am not sure why the MacMail guy can't or won't use Entourage.

Thanks,

Jon

I read about this in mac world a while ago ... there is a setting in
mail which don't embed attachments inline

You need to find it and set it ... having a quick look ... it does not
stand out ... sorry

You mail also get the mail user to set his default email type to plain
text

This should also stop the attachments from being inline

First let me say I know NOTHING about MacMail or Macs or Apple, but maybe
this will help.

I use Outlook 98 on a PC machine (Windows XP Pro) and experienced the same
problem. The culprit? Internet Explorer 7 (IE7). I uninstalled IE7, the
program reverted back to IE6 and the problem went away.
