PowerPoint Insert Music File Problem

i am using powerpoint 2003...im trying to insert music to the slides..it
seems that it doesnt work but it has worked a month ago..i use the same music
file..the music file is an mpeg but i dont know how i have changed it if i
did change it..

the error shown when tryin to play:"The specified file cannot be played on
the specified MCI device. The file may be corrupt, not in correct format, or
no fil".. (cutoff)

I suspect you have install other software that has altered your machine
settings or the codecs. For a better understanding have a quick read here.
As a quick fix, try downloading the Windows Media Player for your OS and
re-installing it.
