I cant play music. It is saying MCI Error

I am tring to play music, but it is coming up MCI Error - The specified file
cannot be played on the specified MCI Device. The file may be corrupt, not in
the correct format, or no fil - and then it stops there. Please help!
 
What type of sound file is it and where did it come from?
