How can I insert a animation into powerpoint, such as a door is automatically
opened and a cat go in?

1. If using PPT XP-2003 you could be very creative with images and
animations.
2. You could insert a Flash animation (on the same background color), but
this has some playback limitations
3. You could insert an animated .gif of the animation (again, on same
background color).

Which version of PPT are you using?

This animation might be a little difficult to do in any version of PPT, but
I think it can be done in PPT 2002 (aka PPT XP) and 2003.

Or if you have (or can make) an animated GIF of this sequence, that might be
easier.

Dear Troy Chollar,

Thank you for your reply.

Actually, I am a layman (Flash software). I just know how to control
powerpoint animation. I don't know how to write Java Script, Flash command.

Part of my presentation is that a door located in the centre of the slide.
When the door is opened, a cat located at bottom of the left hand side of the
slide, then the cat walk toward the door, at last disappear.

Where can I download animated .gif of the animation? Is it just insert into
powerpoint, then it will function automatically?

Regards

Winnie
