PowerPoint 2007: Edit points on a line

Is this feature going to be brought back with the next service pack? Trying
to modify a freeform squiggle is a monstrous hassle compared to what we used
to have. Also, the snap-to grid seems to have gotten a lot more coarse in
2007. That could also use fixing.

Did you install Service Pack 2 for Office 2007? That brings some
improvement.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, this machine has SP2. The grid is still much
coarser than it was in PPT 2003, unfortunately.

AFAIK the grid is the same in 2003 / 2007 (down to 8 per cm or whatever that
is in non metric)

Do the points snap to grid in 2003 when you edit points? I don't think they
do here but they do in 2007.

Try holding down Alt in 2007 see if that helps at all.

Sir:
ALT did, in fact, fix the "grid" issue! That's fantastic, and I thank
you for it. It would still be convenient if you could edit points on a line
vs. creating a freeform squiggle, then deleting points and right-click ->
straight segment-ing it. But I may have to live with this, eh?

Thanks again!

Jim
