I have used powerpoint to create a media kit. Included are .PNG pictures
wich are no larget than 1MB (usually a lot smaller) and images created thru
PP. The whole presentation appears to be 16MB (16 pages), however when sent
to print, it balloons to 330MB and takes on average 30 mins to print. Can
you please tell me what is happening here?

To begin with, there's really no relationship between the size of a PowerPoint
or other file and the size of the printer file it creates. A lot depends on
the printer driver itself, a lot depends on what's in the PPT file.

The real killers are transparent fills, transparent images, transparent
gradients, etc. The more of them you have stacked atop one another, the worse
it can get.
