PowerPoint Playlists

I have 16 fairly large slideshows that I need to run automatically from a
playlist. The playlist was created in NotePad (filename.lst), but is not
recognized as a file type in the "Files of type" box when the PowerPoint
Viewer is executed. PowerPoint Viewer will only allow me to open a PP
presentations. Am I missing a step?
