PowerPoint 2002 and Movie Maker

We are currently running PowerPoint 2002 SP-2, Windows XP SP-1 and
Movie Maker 2.0. After creating the movie and then inserting it into
PowerPoint we have had
several issues that occur.

1. The movie plays fine on the desktop when working on PowerPoint, but
when I view show it doesn't play.
2. The movie plays fine when I view show but freezes when it gets to
the last slide.
3. The movie plays for a few slides when I view show, but then
freezes.

Now I originally thought it was the movie file, but there are 4
separate movie files inserting into the PowerPoint file, all are
different sizes and it happens on all of them intermittently. I have
suggested that the user recreate the movie files and well as the
slides that they are on, but that didn't help.

Any thoughts??

Do you have the latest version of Direct X installed on the computer?

Have you updated video drivers?

Have you tried different Hardware Acceleration settings? (Instrux at
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00129.htm)
