PowerPoint-07 terminating sound after selecting play-across-slides

I have selected a sound clip with the options play-across-slides in severals
spots in a large presentation(they act as a timed narration). I would like
it to stop sound once it gets a certain number of slides into the
presentation allowing my next one to start clean. Any ideas??? Thanks in
advance.

Hi

If on the first slide with music you go to Animations > Custom animation and
double click the entry for the sound you will probably find that in the 'Stop
playing after' box Powerpoint has entered the maximum number possible (999).
Change this to the actual number of slides needed and see if that works
