poweroint ms script editor changes _blank to _parent

I am trying to use Microsoft script editor to change hyperlinks on the slide
to open in a _blank frame instead of the _parent frame. When I save the
html code however the script editor automatically changes it back to
_parent.

I have a powerpoint on a web site that other people with powerpoint
installed on their machines are going to view. Right now the hyperlinks in
the powerpoint redirect the existing web page where they are viewing the
powerpoint to a new webpage. I won't it to open a separate internet
explorer window instead.

Does anyone know why script editor keeps changing the fram in the links back
to _parent?

Dave,

I imagine the fact that the editor is editing a file that is associated with
a PowerPoint, it gets rid of material it doesn't understand. A possibility
is that you will have to modify it away from PowerPoint. And away from the
script editor. But then you will have the issue, perhaps, of it mucking up
what is already there.
