Hi,

Check BIOS settings if there is Wake-on-LAN option - if exist turn it off.

It can be also an hardware issue e.g. with power supply adaptor.

if you mean it just wakes up.
check the Task Scheduler log file to see what is tuning at that time to cause it.

if you have a pet, it may be playing with the mouse during the night.

Task Scheduler does not run when the system is off. It only runs when XP is
running.

Hello,

Access the BIOS - if unsure, see here on how to access it
http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/bios_manufacturer.htm

Look for Wake Up configuration and set them to disabled. Eg Wake Up on
Keyboard Activity, Wake Up on Modem Activity, etc

Save and exit and you should not have the issue anymore.

All right - that requires a special setting to be checked in the settings
of the task, but is a possibility.
