Power User

When I purchased my computer it came with Windows XP Home. When I set up my
children's accounts I set them up as Limited Users. They were not able to
print anything. The Norton Anti Virus popped up a message that it could not
complete configuration on anything but an administrator account. Another box
pops up that Just says "FAiL" Once I close these boxes everything seems to
work fine except for the printer.

I upgraded to XP Pro in hopes of fixing these issues. After the upgrade XP
Pro only allows Administrator and Limited user accounts through the user
accounts in control panel. When I set my Children up as Power Users through
the Adminstrative Tools and User Accounts through the run window
"Useraccounts2" it deselected Adminstrator or Limited user whichever I chose.
When logging on as one of my children the same issues occurr and they only
have permissions of a limited user. Am I doing something wrong. Will a clean
install of XP pro correct this? I have XP pro on my work computer and the
user accounts list through control panel are different than my home computer.

Your problems lie not so much in the area of the permissions granted to
your children's accounts, but rather in the applications, themselves.
Contact Symantec for a solution to the NAV problem, and the printer
manufacturer for the printing issue.
