Power Up Problem

I have a dell dimension 8400 dekstop, 1GB, 2.8GHz. When I try and power up my
pc, the button on the front just starts blinking orange, nothing else
happens. I have held the button in until the light turns off, and then tried
turning it on again, same thing happend. I have also tried unplugging all the
drives and then trying to power it on, same thing. I dont know if the power
supply is bad or what, but I do get that orange flashing light when I try and
turn it on. I have also tried unplugging the power, and holding in the power
button in for 1min., that didnt work either. Any ideas or help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Are you referring to the Hard Drive light when you mention the orange
blinking light?
Is your green Power light on at all?
Have you opened your computer case to find out what, if anything, is turning
inside:
Hard Drive
CPU fan
Other fans
Power supply (is it pushing air out the back?)
Please let us know.
