Power Settings Not Recognized

My laptop (IBM T40) is not recognizing my power settings
which I have adjusted in control panel. I can't seem to
save a new power scheme and the computer is not
recognizing any of my settings. Please help!

Try restarting manually. Change your settings again,
save them, and see if that fixes it, if not you may have
some windows issues....
