Power Options - Advanced Tab Settiungs

R

roger.pray

I am looking for a way to tweak the registry such that the "Advanced"
tab "Power Buttons" settings under the "Power Options" applet in the
control panel can all be set to "Do nothing".

I've found ways to adjust the power scheme, but the advanced tab
appears to be a separate function from the power scheme.

I need this as a registry tweak so I can push it out to something like
200+ laptops and this is a "per-user" setting, so doing it as the
administrator at the time of build really is not an option.

Any thoughts?

just a thought
but there is a registry
tweak to restore the
power panel.

Maybe
you can modify the tweak
to instead disable the power panel
from being modified after
your adjustments.

( Ideally
simply hiding the powerpanel.cpl
sounds better but again these
are quick thoughts only.)

the registry tweak to restore
the power panel can
be found on "kellys korner"
and if you save the tweak
you can reverse engineer
it with a text editor....

actually, it seems
that the power.cpl can be
hidden from control panel.

i found the option provided
by tweakui (the nt version) that i got
from microsoft.com

humourously the follow up question is
to how to hide the tweakui from the
control panel...
