power schemes

Hi

I would like domain users with laptops to be able to
select a power scheme.

At the moment the domain user does not have the required
permissions to change or select a power scheme.

I have set the power schemes as I require them. I would
like the the domain users to be able to select the
appropriate power sheme when on the LAN, when doing a
presentation, or working on the train.
 
Add their domain user accounts to the local Administrators group on each
laptop. That way they'll have full access to their PCs.

I don't really want to give them the ability to install
unlicensed software. I was looking for a registry hack or
something like that.

You'll probably need to create a security configuration template, and look
at modifying the permissions on:
MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Controls Folder\PowerCfg\
