Power Scheme tab not working anymore

I tried to edit the power schemes and show the icon in the system tray, but
after I clicked OK and tried to change the power scheme by double clicking
the icon, the power scheme tab no longer works. There seems to be no schemes
saved and I am unable to save any new ones.

Can anyone please help me with this problem as I need to change the power
schemes to be able to switch between using my PC for media centre tasks and
networking my daughters computer for internet access.

I am having the EXACT same problem. All of my default settings have
disappeared, and I am unable to save a new one. Please help, as it seems to
be affecting the performance and memory of my system. Thanks.
