I have a hp pavilion 503W. After boot is completed the pc will shut down. No
error messages, just this: Power saving is enabled the monitor will shutdown
in a few seconds. I have changed the power saving mode to never, also in
device mgr. i have uninstalled all the ACPI entries. Allowing them to be
reinstalled on start up. Does anyone have any suggestions to keep this from
happening?

You may need to look in the Bios at start up and see if there are any power
saving settings there that need to be adjusted. If you first go to device
manager to monitor and click on properties look on the details tab and scroll
down to power mapping and power capabilities and write down what it says
first, before you change any bios settings. You may need to get a bios update
from HP if one exists for your computer. I have an HP 8750c with 98se still
