Power point viewer 2007 does not open automatically

I downloaded and installed viewer 2007 but when I double click a file it will
not start running. I have to open the program then find the file for it to
play. At work I did the same thing but when I double click a file it starts
Power point viewer automatically. I am using Windows XP Pro on both machines.
Any suggestions as how I can get it to open automatically at home?

Thanks

First try uninstalling the PP viewer from Control Panel, "Add or
Remove Programs" and then install again. If that doesn't work you can
manually add the file type associations for the viewer in Control
Panel, "Folder Options", File Types.

Thank Gary,

Sorry it took so long to respond but I finally tried the automatic fix from
your link and now all is well.
