Using Power Options in Control Panel, you can adjust any power management
option that your computer's unique hardware configuration supports. Because
these options may vary widely from computer to computer, the options
described may differ from what you see. Power Options automatically detects
what is available on your computer and shows you only the options that you
can control.

Pat,

I honestly don't think XP Home has anything to do with it. I do not have a
laptop so I can't check out anything else on this. ;-(

Hi,

Are you hooked to a UPS unit? If not, there is no reason you would have
those two tabs.

Pat,

I assumed that you had a laptop.

If you have a Desktop the only tabs that you'll see in Power Options
Properties are:

Power Schemes
Alarms (Portable/Laptops only)
Power Meter (Portable/Laptops only)
Advanced
Hibernate (If the Hibernate tab is unavailable, your computer does not
support this feature.)
UPS
