I made the mistake of assigning a power on password for my laptop. When I
booted up the machine I hit F10 for the setup utility and added a power up
password. I want to get rid of the password I tried the restore defaults
button bu it does not work. Any Suggestions. Thanks

Nick;
You need to go back into setup.
Go to the same tab as before, and use the same procedure as before to set
the password.
This time leave it blank.

This is a BIOS/motherboard issue and has nothing to do with the operating
system.
Check your computer/motherboard manual and/or contact the manufacturer for
details.

Thanks I appreciate your help.
