I "upgraded " .. and I use the term loosely.. from W98 SE
to XP .. after downloading the "critical" updates I find
that I have LOST ..Power Management , Standby and Smooth
Scrolling .. is there any way that these can be
reinstated or will I have to reinstal W98 SE to enjoy
full management of my computer

Did either of you check that your hardware was the right specification
for XP before installing it?
