Power Management Settings not working

Hi, Im having troubles stopping my pc from going into hibernating/stand-by
mode. I have gone into the power management options and selected the “always
on†power scheme; the “Turn off†monitor and hard disk options are set to
never. The system stand-by and hibernates options are set to never. The
hibernate support option is not enabled.
Once I leave the pc for awhile and come back, its in the state of
hibernation/standby. I have to move the mouse or hit a key and it comes back
to life but I have to log back on through the log-on screen. If I was running
a file sharing program the download would have halted and I would need to
resume it. Im running XPHome SP2, GA-965P-DS3 m/b, 1GB DDRII.
I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Have you check the screen saver settings? There could be a Screen Saver set
(Blank) and uncheck the "On Resume, display Welcome" option.

If not, then goto BIOS and change the APM settings.

See if this help, let us know!
