Please forgive the length of this post. My PC (a Dell Dimension 4500) was
working fine until a few weeks ago. Whenever I would leave the PC for an
extended period of time it would go into a "sleep" mode. When I would move
the mouse it would wake again and everything was fine. A few weeks ago it
stopped going into the sleep mode. I went into the power management utility
and tried different things and after messing with it, it would go to sleep
but I could not wake it up unless I powered down and rebooted. I have since
changed the settings again to "Never off" etc. and now it will not power
down unless I intentionally trun it off. As you may have already guessed, I
do not know much about PC's and can use all the help I can get. Can someone
help me please.
