Can anyone help me, i just recently brought a new computer. Celeron 2.8Ghz
256 Mb RAM 60GB HDD and when i attempt to play DVDs in the DVD drive (the
drive burns DVDs and CDs) in POWERDVD(which came on the computer) it jumps
from frame to frame and hence the sound jumps and well the thing is useless
to me. I am playing proper brought DVDs and they are the correct region. Is
there any setting i can change to the DVD player itself or in POWERDVD.
Cheers

1.) Try playing the DVD in Windows Media Player. Does the same thing
happen?

2.) Go to the web site for the maker of your computer, and see if they
have a new version or patch for PowerDVD. Even with a new computer, the
disk image on it may be months old, and your OEM may have a different
version available.

3.) Call up your computer manufacter's tech support. In most cases it
is the OEM that is responsible for providing support for the software
that is sold with the computer.

4.) Check you version of PowerDVD, and download any patch for your
specific version at the site that Peter gave you.

5.) Good luck!

Stop the DVD playing and ensure "Use hardware acceleration" is enabled in
PowerDVD's options. Then play the DVD again and see if that helped.
