Potential Virus?

I have a strange problem that I don't know how to resolve except rebooting.
My processors (dual Xeon workstation) are sitting at between 23% - 26% usage
when doing nothing at all. The System Idle process then runs at about 75%.
The culprit is image name System.

Image Name = System
PID = 4
CPU = 26%
User Name = System
User Objects = 0
VM Size = 32k
Mem Usage = 88k

I cannot kill the process, I have zero viruses listed in Symantec, the only
thing I can do is reboot to kill the process. Your assistance is
appreciated.

Did you indentify which process is taking that amount of CPU power?
At the process listing you can see each process and its amount of memory and
cpu usage. If you can find there which is the problematic process the
solution could be easier.
