POST fails, no video signal.

Apologies if this is a repost:

I'm building a new PC with the following components: ECS 848P-A7
motherboard, 2.66 ghz Pentium 4 506 CPU with EMT64 in a LGA 775 socket,
stock Intel heatsink / fan, PNY GeForce FX5200 AGP video card, one stick
of 256 meg PNY D256MPC270PT (PC2700) ram, Apex 166-BK case, 400 watt
Seasonic Super Silencer power supply.

I've put together the system and when I try to boot the fans on the
heatsink and the video card spin up but I get no video signal. I also
tried a old GeForce 2 video card I had laying around and got the same
result. I'm not getting any BIOS error codes except when I tried to add
in another stick of 256 meg PC2700 generic ram I had laying around then
I got one long beep that was repeated. Any ideas a to the source of the
problem and how to fix it? Thanks.

ECS = requires CMOS reset at any given time
Take out the ram module that caused problems.

and if that doesn't work, you can try re-doing your HSF on your
processor. I had a similar problem to yours on my first build, and
once I re-seated the processor and HSF (after re-doing the thermal
paste), all was well.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
