Maybe they are being censored because of the gratuitous spam at the end of
them.

Well, that sums you up.
You contribute nothing, but SPAM..

SPAM is posting where you actually have nothing to contribute to the
question asked...

Apparently, MS also filters posts containing names of legit newsgroups,
including:

alt . comp . hardware . pc-homebuilt

MS doesn't filter those groups, MS just doesn't carry them on their NNTP
servers. Not carrying a group is different that filtering post to a group
which is carried.

On rare occasions, articles I have posted have failed to propagate.
Sufficiently rare occurrence that I have never bothered to investigate.

I didn't say that MS filtered any groups. I said that it filters *posts*
containing text, such as the names of certain newsgroups.

Ah. Sorry about that. As I said, I've only have some rare posts fail to
propagate; and never felt the urge to investigate. So, you are saying that
including 'alt.comp.hardware.pc-homebuilt' in a post gets filtered.
Interesting ...

Ah. Sorry about that. Interesting ... So trying to post
'alt.comp.hardware.pc-homebuilt' gets a post filtered. I see you posted one
via Giganews that made it to Google Groups; now there is a swamp festering
with spam!

Good. Glad to see they're doing that, finally.

Really? Why? FWIW, I posted that group name, as mentioned by Daave three
times:

Was supposed to be picked up by 'msnews.microsoft.com'. Doesn't show up
anywhere.

Was posted via 'news.motzarella.org'. Shows up on 'news.motzarella.org', and
on 'news.sf.sbcglobal.net', but not on 'msnews.microsoft.com'.

What really surprises me is that they haven't filtered my articles on
General Principles, considering the 'Organization:' header line I use. ;)
