Sometime my posts are not reconized by the newsserver and even though the
posts go out the do not appear in the newsgroup. I have a copy of the post
in my outbox so I know they did go out, so where did they go????

I am using Outlook Express 6.0.2900.5512 to post the messages.

whim, Randem pounded out on the keyboard:

Any in particular? I see your postings quite frequently.

Into the ether. ;-)

I've had it happen a few times over the many many posts I have done. It's
not common - but it can happen. Sometimes - I am pretty sure it is a
filter - because often I will repeat the same post over and over - and it
will not show up - then I remove the single word that I think in my paranoia
might be blocking the posting - and amazingly the post goes through.

Coincidence? Maybe.

For a while there - I noticed that Google Groups didn't seem to be archiving
(or maybe falling behind) - that weirded me out too.

Are you certain your posts aren't there?

You mean the:

"This message is no longer available on the server" notification?

That is entirely different.

What about the times when the MS news server aggressively filters
innocuous posts? ;-)

AFAIK the only posts that get filtered are those with obscenities in
the subject or the body.

I've tested it ;->

And I misread the OP's message headers. He is using MSNews right now. So why
we can see his posts and he can't is anyone's guess.

M y Mistake... Sent box. But I guess that would have taken a genius to
figure out...

It is a pity they DON'T filter Randem's posts, with the amount of SPAM
addresses he has in them!
Do something about that!

I was talking about your message headers and your news server:

X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.5512
X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2900.5579

Just doing a Find in this newsgroup shows 171 posts in the past 90 days:

YOU'RE the one who chooses to stick with a medium that doesn't have
killfiling capability. I think you just like to make sure you've got
something to bitch about.

You can do something about that STOP pretending to to be able to comprehend.
SPAM is posting where you actually have nothing to contribute to the
question asked...
