Possible error in KB article re: Isscript.msi

I reinstalled XP, and upon installing 3rd party software,
received an error from the install wizard indicating that
'IsScript.msi' could not be found.

I found the fix at the knowlege-base article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;326674

I followed all the instructions in that article *except*
step 10, which seemed to duplicate step 9 (step 9 directs
to delete a specific registry key, upon which the parent
object
(HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Installer\Products)
is highlighted; following step 10 would delete that parent
object as well, and I'm not sure that was intended.

My installations work fine now (without following step 10).
If this is a mistake in the KB, could someone notify MS
about it?

Hi

This is absolutely a mistake in the KB article, and it is now reported to MS.

You should also note the "Provide us with feedback on this article" link in the
upper right corner of the KB article, you could have used that one as well to
report your finding.
