Ports (COM & LPT) not in Device Manager

I have no entry for "Ports (COM & LPT)" in Device Manager, although the PC
has one of each. I have Windows Vista Home Premium. Any thoughts?

Nigel,

The most likely cause is that they are disabled in the BIOS,.

Did you ever have them, is this a new machine?
