Portable HD letter assignment

I have been using a portable HD as Disk J.
I then installed a new higher capacity HD that assigned it as Disk G
Both drives are USB-2

I no longer use the smaller capacity drive assigned as J.

How do I remove both assigned drive letters so I can then re-install so the
system assigns my newer drive as J?

Click Start/Run/diskmgmt.msc, then right-click the larger disk
and select the desired drive letter.

Hi,

Drive letters can be changed in control panel/ administrative tools / disk
management. Just right click on the drive and change the letters as you
wish.
