port forwarding

I am trying to forward a port on a dlink DI-524 and I just can't get
connectable.
I tried portforward.com and port trigger. Any help, thanks.

You have to manually assign an IP address ( DNS and gateway also) to the
targeted computer. Pick an IP address that is in your network range but
outside the router's DHCP assignment range, like 192.168.0.25.

Also do not forget about the Windows Firewall. You have to open a port there
too.
