port forward bug

I've PC-1 with 2 nics for internet connetion sharing, addresses are
LAN=192.168.0.1 & WAN=201.x.x.x

Then i've PC-2 (192.168.0.2) with a webserver, so I used the firewall
settings to forward port 80 to it. Outsider can access PC-2 webserver, so
201.x.x.x:80 works.

The problem is LAN PCs (192.168.0.x) just can't connect to 201.x.x.x:80, but
they can access it using 192.168.0.2:80, why? They can ping 192.168.0.1 &
surf the net easily..

FYI, if the LAN PCs change their gateway IP (another ICS machine with
different WAN address), the problem solved but ppl just can't afford multiple
DSL lines at home!

Dan,

You answered the question yourself in a way.

To the other computers on your LAN, 201.x.x.x:80 is outside your LAN, and the
gateway to that address is 192.168.0.1 - whichever ICS server they get Internet
service thru. If you put them on a separate LAN (a gateway different than the
ICS server serving 201.x.x.x:80), their gateway takes the traffic, forwards it
from the LAN to the WAN, and it goes to the WAN of the ICS gateway serving
201.x.x.x:80.

Apparently with ICS, it doesn't forward traffic outwards, then apply port
forwarding and forward the traffic back in again.
