Popups

I have Adaware, spybot, and have tried several popup
killers, still getting way too many popups, very very
annoying. The popup killers have all been free versions.
The biggest pain in the you know what right now has been
a popup from EGOOG. Whatever the hell that is. Have run
adaware and spybot, deleted all they show, still get
popups. Anybody got any ideas to stop this nonsense. I am
on XP Home, cable modem. Thanks

I have not had a pop up since I've installed the Google tool bar

Go to the MSN home page, search for the MSN toolbar,
download and install it, it will go into your internet
explorer, the settings are pretty basic and this will
help alot.

Unfortunately, certain "Pop up killers" are themselves causes of said popup. Chances are, Egoog keeps popping up because one of the blockers you are using is affiliated to them

So far the only ones I know of that do not do those are AdAware and Spybot

I guess in this day and age, it's worth reading the fine print before using a free program.

Thanks all, but I have the spyblaster, and I have tried
the msn toolbar, the google toolbar, the yahoo toolbar,
and messenger service is not active. Any other ideas??

OR DO AS I DONE DELETE IT IN OUT LOOK EXPRESS IR HAS DEAL

try the immunize feature in spybot and block bad pages. if
all fails use the mozilla.org browser 'firefox' .built
in popup killer and you can download an ad blocker too.
