Popups on IE7

Just recently popups have been popping up while I've been using IE7. Most of
these annoying popups are from gambling and dating service sites. I had my
popup setting set to medium and now have set it to high, but they still keep
showing up. This had just started happening in the last couple of weeks,
prior to that I had no problems with popups. Any idea why this is happening?
And is there a solution to blocking these?

If you only use the Windows in house firewall check the exceptions tab
for entries that correspond to the popups you are getting and delete
them.

IE7 questions should be asked in the Internet Explorer newsgroup. There are
quite a few posts there so peruse them for something on topic before posting
a new message.
