OK, you posted some more as I was typing ... :D

You can delete the entire combofix folder and subfolders ... C:\Qoobox\Quarantine\ ... it is the relocated malware files. ;)

If you want a double, triple check ... we can do it all again. :D

Hi Mucks
Thanks for that - will do as you suggest. Will get a couple of bottles of wine for this but what I've learnt in the process (thanks to you) is invaluable.
Really enjoyed it - think I will remove all the anti-spyware, apart from Spybot as they are always wanting to upgrade on bootup.
Cheers

Hi Mucks
Have got rid of QooBox, re-scanned with Spybot - all clear. SuperAntiSpyware scans on bootup - also clear.

Your log is clean ... :thumb:

However, I strongly suggest you do NOT have any sites in the Trusted Zone ... remove them all please.

Use IE Tools/Internet Options/Security/Trusted Sites and remove all from there ... the only sites you need to "trust" are your on-line Banking, and I don't trust them either. ;)

Have just got back from replacing the PC - will do as you suggest - had to use trusted sites to get anything to download but that's all ok now.

Hi all
This goes back a long way. My eldest daughter's mother-in-law invited me to look at a Athlon XP 1500MHz, 256MB PC - massive pop-ups and spam e-mail.
It was used to run Sage for their pumbing business in Bude, mainly using Sage for wages, tax, etc, they had nephew to stay and allowed him to use the business PC for ????
Needless to say it all went wrong - fixed it eventually with Hijackthis with massive help from Mucks - I would have not the first idea what to do!
Has worked fine since then and I have installed an extra 1Gb RAM and replaced the Athlon 1800 CPU with a Athlon 2200+ CPU.
Unfortunately the 40GB HD has now filled up to the extent that booting and opening programs takes ages.
My idea is to install a 250Gb ATA HD and a fresh copy of XP as a second HD - effectively making it two PCs in one case. Transfer all the Files and settings across to the new HD and providing two boot options in BIOS since there is a female teenager now living there who needs access to the Internet (for whatever they do).
There is also a Maxtor external HD with Retrospective connected to the PC.
After all that - how do I transfer all files and settings to the new HD?
Thanks in advance

Back up your personal files and data first. An split the drives into several partiotions when you set up. "C" for OS, "D" "E" etc for personal files and data as that makes future OS installs a lot easier and helps to safeguard personal data.
As you are using the same hardware apart from the discs you should not have any problems with the cloneing but things do not always go to plan especially when using stuff for the first time.
If it is a bussiness pc then Acronis is well worth the money as mucks has said already.
