popups do not popup

I have recently obtained a Huges satellie dish for internet. When I use the
Hughes mail server for compose a new mail page opens as expected. the problem
is when I press the TO, CC, BCC to bring up the address book nothing happens.

I have spent hours talking to India (software support for the USof A, and I
was told I needed to find a comuter specialist as the problem was not a
Hughes problem. I have restarted in safe mode and the popups work lke thay
are supposed to, but in normal mode nothing. I have unchecked the popup
blocker in tools and added heghes.net as in the allowed and trusted sites. I
have closed Zone Labs, Spysweeper, and AVG virus programs. I spent 5 hours
with not 1 but 2 software techs and we left without a fix. My wife's Dell has
the same problem.

At the tech shop I tried boxes with Win 2000, win 2002, IE6.0 and IE7 Beta 3
they all worked as they were supposed to. We installed Beta 3 on mine without
6.0 setup and still have the same problem.

Has anyone got a clue...If so please email me with questions or answers @

Hi,
So you're currently running IE6 XP SP2? Try disabling add-ons from IE>
Tools> Manage add-ons. If the Google toolbar or Yahoo toolbar is installed,
don't just disable it- uninstall it.

If pop-ups open in Safe Mode, a program which didn't load in Safe Mode is
the troublemaker. Look *carefully* through settings of Zone Alarm and
Spysweeper for an option like Block scripts, scripting, active content,
ActiveX, pop-ups, block header info, hide http referrer, etc.

Any other security/privacy programs installed that you've overlooked?
