pop ups with no way of closing

Can someone out there help me? I have had, for the past
couple of days, a pop up that appears on my screen
entitled "privacy Alert". It appears on the lower right
side of my screen, but does not have an icon in the task
bar that allows me to close it. If I want my screen
back, I have to restart the computer. Is there another
way to find out what this is and how to close it? Also,
how can I request (or flame) this company not to do it
again. This is an affront to me and very disrespectful.

use CRTL.ALT.DEL to bring up the task manager and close the window from there. It sounds like you have something installed in your objects folder that should not be there. Go to internet properties, settings, view objects and see if anything unknown is installed if there is remove it. Then get your self a pop up window blocker, i use naviscope it's free and works really good.
